Fourth of July

Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. We love to go up to Henefer and visit with family. We started Friday night with the potato races. This is where men on horseback try to spear a potato and get it in the goal while the other team tries to stop them. It is fun to watch. Saturday morning we got up and went to the park for breakfast, then we stayed there and watched the local dance teams show us their stuff. The kids took time off to ride Taffy the horse. Katy was having so much fun it was hard to get her off the horse. That night we got to attend the concert in the park. Charley Jenkins put on a great show, we even got autographed Cd's, the kids have been singing his songs for the past two days. On the way home we stopped at bridal veil falls and let the kids see the water falls.

Riding Taffy

Sorry Katy is picking her nose in this one but they are supposed to be showing off the bracelets that they got from a plane that flew over head.

Today was Katy's birthday she got a brand new bike from us, she was so excited to pick it out.

Beautiful Rainbow

Well we have been having a lot of rain out here in the desert. But today the sun came out after it rained most of the day and we got a really intense double rainbow. I have never seen the colors so bright as they were today. It was amazing.

Oh yeah, we moved to Price two weeks ago and I am almost done unpacking.

End of the year school programs

Well my cute little Abby finished kindergarten last week. They had a great program where all the kid got to pick a nursery rhyme and then dress up as a character in that rhyme. Abby picked Mary had a little lamb. So she wore her cute blue dress and a fancy hat. Wednesday when we got the local paper there was a picture of our little cutie for all to see. Abby was really excited to be in the paper.

Katy also had her program. They did a third grade talent show. Katy sung "Castle on a Cloud" from Les Mes. But I recorded that with my camcorder and I don't know how to put that onto my blog yet. But she did great. I was so proud, I had a hard time trying not to cry.

Pictures of our new home!

We don't actually close until June 4th but we were at the house today to meet with the inspector and all went well in that department. So I took some pictures to show you all since none of you have seen it yet. The girls are super excited about the club house in the back yard. ( and yes Liz, every room has an accent wall, I thought that you would appreciate that) Becca, I have lots more pictures but it takes forever for them to load on the computer so I will show them to you Memorial Day weekend. I am really getting excited for the big move now.
This is the hallway to the rooms and downstairs. The front door is just off to the left in the picture.

Blood!

That's not jam it's blood!

So today Thomas and I walked over to the school to pick up Abby. Thomas was walking around playing with a ball when he tripped and fell against the stroller. He was bleeding a lot and I was freaking out just a little because I couldn't tell if he had bitten all the way through his lip or just cut the outside. I took him up to the doctor to see if the cut needed a stitch or two but the doctor said that he would heal fine and that the struggle to put in two stitches on his lower lip would be worse than the cut just healing on it's own. The funny thing is that Thomas was more upset that we weren't playing outside any more than about his lip.

Tommy gets a buzz.

Today Collin took Thomas outside and gave him a little hair cut. Thomas used to have long hair that we used to ruff up so that it was spiky. He looks totally different now. He has the roundest head! It looks super cute and will be very easy to maintain.

Playing at Goblin Valley, meeting the Easter Bunny

Friday we went with all the cousins (except Sam) from my family and drove to Goblin Valley State Park. It is a great place to spend the day. We hiked and hiked, the kids and Collin even found the Geo-cache that is out at the park. Sage, Liz and I took all the kids that could walk on their own and went up the back wall and around the rocks on top. There is a great view from up there and the kids felt pretty cool for making it up so far. We had a great day and we were all sore and exhausted by the time we got home.

Saturday we gathered at Grandma and Grandpa Anderson's house for BBQ turkey and a candy hunt. The Easter Bunny even paid us and visit we were all so excited to see him back from his visit in Brazil.
