Christmas is coming.......

Here we are almost to Christmas and I haven't put up any fun pictures from November. I have not been very good at taking pictures lately so I will have to take quite a few in the net couple weeks to make up for it. But here are a few of the pictures that I have managed to take. Enjoy
First I have this note that I found in Thomas's stocking. It says Dear Santa, I am mean not nice. The first clue that it was not a self written note is the fact that Thomas is 3 and can not write yet. So naturally I asked Madelyn if she was the composer. She did finally admit it and I threatened to put it in her sock if she did something like that again.
Here my sweet Thomas is posing in front of the tree right after we got it up.
Before Thanksgiving dinner we went out and shot guns for a while. Katy found some fresh snow and pigged out.
Here is the cutest, sweetest dog ever. We love our Tessy!

Is it Halloween already?

It would be really cool if I was talented like my sister in law and could make costumes for my kids. But alas all I can sew is skirts and aprons. So I take the kids down the costume isle at WalMart and let them pick anything under $20. This year Thomas said that he wanted to be a ninja since he is really into hitting and kicking right now, but when he saw the super hero costumes he was super excited. He chose a red ninja power ranger that fulfilled all his dreams. Madelyn and Abby are really into wolves, cats, and dogs. Abby said that she wanted me to make her a costume that was a dead-blonde-one eyed-werewolf. I have no idea where that came from but I told her to pick a costume off the wall and she liked the Spider Queen. Madelyn picked some sort of trendy cute wolf-girl costume, that I don't understand but she likes it. Katy picked the Cleopatra costume and can I just say why don't they make costumes for young ladies that don't look like hookers dressed up for Halloween?! I mean we are in real trouble next year when we can't find anything that covers her upper body and lower body at the same time. Maybe I will have to learn new sewing skills in this next year. Happy Halloween everyone!

Chopper 5 comes to Castle Heights!

Today chopper 5 from KSL News came to the girls school. The school has passed it's reading goal and read 2.3million minutes this year. It was fun to see the helicopter come and land at the school. The kids all got to see the helicopter up close and have a class picture with Nadine from KSL news.

Dance, Dance, Dance

The girls are all dancing this weekend. Abby and Madelyn are dancing for the USU-CEU women's basketball halftime, and Katy is dancing for the men's. They are doing their hip hop routines. I can't wait to see them. Here they are in their costumes.

It's hard work being 3!

Thomas was playing the computer today. I was down in my room and realized I hadn't heard him for a while. (silence can be very loud) I went into the front room and found him like this. I guess he was just going to rest his head and fell asleep. That's my boy, when he is really tired he will fall asleep no matter what he is doing.

So much news!

Ok so we did have a wonderful Christmas. No one was in the Hospital, though we did have a nice round of stomach flu that we shared with Grandma and Grandpa, Paige and Trevor (sorry about that guys). We stayed home for Christmas eve for the fist time in our married life. We made a big turkey dinner and invited some friends over for dinner. Then in January Thomas turned three and Madelyn turned 6. They both had nice birthdays and got lots of cool loot.

February has been busy. Katy is getting ready for many performances with her dance team. She dances for the USU-CEU Men's b-ball half time show in a week, and then they dance for the Utah Flash halftime show on Presidents Day. We are so excited that Collin's sister Paige is getting married in April and can't wait. Then in May Katy has her regional competition and Abby and Madelyn have their end of year performances. So we will be dancing a lot for the next few months (and when I say "we" I mean Katy will dance and I will drive her to lots of practices).
Collin took his professional engineering exam in October and passed. He got his application for his licence sent off and this week the actual licence came in the mail. I am very excited for him and proud of him.
